Pathfinder: Undergraduate Major Exploration Series.

Deciding on a major can be a difficult task. To support you in this decision making process, we have created the Pathfinder: Undergraduate Pathfinder Major Exploration Series. Information Sessions: Pathfinder offers discipline/major specific information sessions that run for approximately 45 minutes. You will receive information on the college's degrees and major options, review our various online major/career assessment tools, and engage in a Q & A with a professional advisor. Students are encouraged to attend as many sessions as they wish. The locations for the workshops are listed below in the Workshop Calendar. Declaring your major: You will have the opportunity to declare your major during any session. Waitless Advisement: Attending a session and declaring a major will also satisfy your requirement to meet with an academic advisor for the fall term. Your advisement worksheet for your new major will be e-mailed to your valid CIX address, and your Advisement (AA) stop will also be removed, without having to visit CAAS. Space is limited, so please arrive promptly for each session that you wish to attend. Participants will be accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note: All students are required to declare a major by the time they earn 45 credits. Students not in compliance with this policy are prevented from registering for classes for the following semester until they officially declare a major. We look forward to working with you as you successfully complete this portion of your educational journey.

Classroom Presentation Series

The Center for Advising & Academic Success makes every effort to engage our faculty and students in learning about educational opportunities here on campus and beyond. Our Academic Success Lecture Series (ASLS) is one way in which we conduct this outreach, and we are pleased to note that we will once again offer our On Track with Advisement, Registration, and Graduation in-classroom workshop during the Spring 2012 semester.

Please contact Dina Grant at ext. 2287 or Mario D'Alessandro at ext. 2035 to schedule a presentation on your class.

We encourage classes that we are visiting to prepare by accessing the What We Do page on our website and reviewing/printing the GE Brochure and GE Goals information. If you would like to schedule an in-classroom presentation for your course, or for more information, please go here. We look forward to working with you and enriching your educational experience.
