for Academic Affairs/Provost South Administration Building (1A), room 305 About the Provost As the College’s chief academic officer, the Provost provides vision, leadership, and oversight to the maintenance and development of quality academic programs including support for the development of a distinguished faculty in both the liberal arts and sciences and professional studies and support of faculty research and graduate education at the master’s and doctoral levels. The Provost reports directly to the President and is the ranking member of the executive management team, with responsibility for all academic units and departments. The Provost is responsible for promoting academic excellence and for assuring that students have access to intellectual and practical experiences that will enrich their lives and prepare them for their post-collegiate careers. |
