Office Hours
The Facilities Management is open between the hours of 8:30 am
to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Dial extension X3210 for inquiries, problems,
requests or service.
After Hours
Facilities Management staff can be reached by contacting the Central Plant at
extension x3204/3205.
Work Orders
The work order system is available through the college's intranet
system. Each department secretary has been given a user name and
password enabling them to access the system. All requests should
now be made through the assigned Archibus user. If you already
have a User ID and password and want to access the site, click here.
You must have an e-mail account with the college as an acknowledgement
e-mail is sent to you. If you have any problems, contact X3210.
Maintenance
Responsibilities include maintenance and repair of College facilities
including doors, windows, ceilings, floors and walls. Expertise
in areas such as installation of doorstops, door checks, installation
of bulletin boards, ceiling and floor tiles, securing shelving,
etc.
Laborers Services
Services include the moving of furniture and carton, set up of
offices, classrooms and conference rooms and special event set
ups. Laborers maintain all of CSI's athletic fields, including
the baseball field which was once home to the SI Yankees. Laborers
are also responsible for the maintenance of all the grounds;
including landscaping, planting, weeding, etc. and removal of
snow from parking lots and sidewalks.
Custodial Services
Services include all housekeeping matters: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming,
shampooing carpets, removal of trash, cleaning offices, classrooms,
restrooms, replacement of lightbulbs, etc.
Trades Operations
Plumbers: Repairs, installs and maintenance of all things
related to water supply and drainage. Electricians: Installation,
repair and maintenance of all power and electrical devices throughout
the facility. Painter: Touch up and specialty painting
projects throughout the college. Cement Mason: Repairs,
installation and new construction of walkways, roadways, block,
brick and tile work. Carpentry: Installation, repair and
new construction of doors, woodwork, projects and alterations.
Central Plant
Responsible for all heating, ventilation and air conditioning units
in all buildings and facilities.
