 Laboratory Safety

The Environmental Health and Safety Office is responsible for ensuring that College laboratory safety policies are followed in campus research and teaching laboratories. The Chemical Hygiene Officer is the individual that manages laboratory safety issues in the Laboratory Sciences Building. This individual reports to the Director of the Environmental Health and Safety Office.

The Radiation Safety Officer is a member of the faculty and is responsible for ensuring that the provisions of the college's policies and procedures for using radioactive materials on campus are followed. This individual reports directly to the Dean of Science. The Radiation Safety Officer for the college is Dr. Probal Banerjee and he can be reached at x-3938.
