Proof of Measles, Mumps and Rubella immunization is required by law before registration for all students born on or after January 1, 1957, who are enrolling for 6 or more credits. Meningococcal meningitis vaccination is also required but you may opt to decline the requirement instead of receiving the vaccine using the Immunization Record Form. Immunization records can be obtained from previous schools attended and childhood vaccine records.
Immunization forms should be given to the Health Center before your advisement and registration session. You may download the immunization forms at the following link: Immunization Record Form
After you claim your CUNYfirst account, you can also submit your Immunization/Meningitis Acknowledgement form using CUNYfirst. Please click here for instructions on this process.
Please Note: If you previously attended CSI or another CUNY institution and submitted this information, it may not necessary to do so again.
Register for Classes
In order to register for classes, you will need access to CUNYfirst, which is the centralized student information portal that is newly available at the College of Staten Island.
Step 1: Claim Your CUNYfirst Account
If you have not already done so, please claim your CUNYfirst account.

Step 2: Find and Enroll in Classes
It is mandatory that you meet with the Program Coordinator (your advisor) prior to registering for classes. Some programs require a mandatory orientation prior to registration. Your advisor information and orientation date (if required) will be available to you on your personalized VIP page once you have accepted our offer of admissions and satisfied the commitment deposit.
You can register for classes in the CUNYfirst system by following these instructions in the CUNYfirst Quick Reference Guide. There are also training resources available by visiting the CUNYfirst Student Self Service center.
The Office of Information Technology also offers a help desk to respond to issues or problems you might have when using CUNYfirst. You can email the CUNYfirst Helpdesk via CUNYfirsthelpdesk@csi.cuny.edu or you can visit their office during their regular business hours, available here.
Paying Your Bill

Your registration will not be completed until your bill is paid at the Bursar’s Office. To avoid cancellation of your registration, submit the payment by the due date noted on your tuition bill. For instructions on how to view your bill in CUNYfirst, please click here.
Nelnet, in cooperation with the Bursar's Office, offers a monthly payment plan. You can sign up for a payment plan directly through your CUNYfirst account. Please click here for more information on the payment plan.
