ECO 257 The Japanese Economy

This course explores factors that influence the contemporary economy of Japan: historical components, including the Meiji Restoration and the expansion of the Japanese empire, World War II and the post-war Allied occupation, more recent components, principles of Japanese business, management style, government-business relations, education, labor relations, trade restrictions and agreements, and influence on the U.S. economy, and Japanese goals.
