GEG 212 Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
4 hours; 4 credits
An introduction to the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) production process from data modeling and acquisition to editing, analysis, and cartographic output. It is divided between lectures that introduce the theory and implications of GIS and lab exercises to familiarize students with the many applications of the software. Required for Geography majors, open to all students. (social science) NOTE: This course satisfies the College Option.
