HST 106 Africa Encounters Europe

A study of the interactions between Africans and Europeans since the 15th century. This course examines African societies just prior to the Atlantic slave trade; its consequences for African, European, and American societies; colonialism and nationalism; and problems facing African societies in the postcolonial and post-Cold war periods.(FWGR) (social science) Not open to students who have completed HST 290.
