HST 384 Social and Political Ideologies in the Modern World

A survey of the major social and political ideologies and cultural movements that developed from the French Revolution to the present, analyzing their historical context and content. Topics include liberalism, conservatism, socialism, nationalism, imperialism, communism, fascism, feminism, and anti-colonialism. For History majors and minors, this is designated as a modern European history course.
Prerequisites: Any 200-level history course and ENG 151
