NRS 325 Nursing Care at the End of Life
3 hours; 3 credits
This course explores evidence-based care of individuals and families at the end of life. Quality and safety issues are addressed in providing holistic care in assessing, planning, and meeting the physical, cultural, social, and spiritual needs of the dying patient and their families. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, collaboration and communication are identified to reduce the burden and distress of those facing life’s end.
Prerequisite: Enrollment in the BS curriculum of Nursing or permission of the instructor
