POL 349 Comparative Human Rights

A comparison of how human rights are conceptualized and protected in various Western and non-Western nations. The focus will be on such rights as speech, religion, fair trial, and equitable treatment of ethnic and racial minorities in countries such as Canada, the United Kingdom, India, Russia, South Africa, Nigeria, Israel, and China.
