Welcome to CSI!

As a student at CSI you are a vital part of a community made up of students, faculty, and staff. As a community, we support one another. This website provides information about your rights and about the many services available for students with disabilities. We hope you will visit the Office of Disability Services and meet its staff.

What services are available for students with disabilities?

The Office of Disability Services, (ODS), is a part of the Division of Student Affairs. The Director and staff of the ODS will work with you to provide accommodations and services. Services that are offered include: readers, alternative testing, priority registration, academic counseling, and one-on-one tutoring. Other services may be provided to fit your particular needs.

In addition, the Office of Disability Services advocates for its students and is interested in campus accessibility issues that you may encounter. Please let us know if you encounter any difficulties. Meet with a staff member and we'll try to assist you in any way that we can.

How do I Receive Services?

In order to receive services, you must register with the Office of Disability Services. After you have been accepted for Admission to the College of Staten Island, you must submit documentation verifying your disability to the Office of Disability Services in 1P-101 (These records are confidential and NOT a part of any permanent records).
