Welcome to CSI!   As a student at CSI you are a vital part of a community made up of students, faculty, and staff. As a community, we support each other. This website provides information about your rights and about the many services available to you in reaching your academic goals. The core or heart of the support services available to you is the Office of Disability Services. We hope you will visit the Office of Disability Services and meet its staff.

What services are available for students with disabilities?
The Office of Disability Services is a part of the Division of Student Affairs. The Director and staff of the Office of Disability Services will work with you to provide accommodations and services. Services that are offered include: reader services, alternative testing, priority registration, personal and academic counseling and tutorial services. Other services may be provided to fit your particular needs.

In addition, the Office of Disability Services serves as an advocate to detect and help remove any informational, physical, or attitudinal barriers. If you have any problems, come in and we will try to assist you in any way that we can.

How do I Receive Services?
In order to receive services, you need to register with the Office of Disability Services. In order to register, you must:

1)Apply to the College of Staten Island by completing the application & being accepted for Admission.

2) Come to the Office of Disability Services 1P-101 AFTER  acceptance and register for services. At this time you can meet the staff and let them know what special needs you may have.

3) Provide us with written documentation verifying your disability (These records are confidential and NOT a part of any permanent records.)
