Biography / Academic Interests
: Deepa Aravind’s research interests are in the areas of adoption and implementation of management practices, innovations in firms, and corporate social responsibility initiatives such as environmental management system standards. She has presented her research at several major academic conferences. In 2008, her dissertation, which examined the implementation of the ISO 14001 environmental management standard in US firms, was a finalist at the ONE (a division of the Academy of Management) Best Dissertation Award competition. During 2006-2007, she was a winner of the Joseph L. Fisher Dissertation Fellowship, Resources for the Future, Washington, D. C. She has taught at Rutgers University, NJ and The College of New Jersey, and has experience working in the software industry in India and the US.
