Biography / Academic Interests

Professor Englard’s teaching career spans more than 25 years, including teaching at Brooklyn College from 1978-1983 and at the College of Staten Island since 1984. His specialization is Financial Accounting.
In 2005 he received the College of Staten Island Dolphin Award for Teaching Excellence. His name appears in the 2003-2004 edition of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.
Since June 2009, Professor Englard has been a contributor of questions to the National Uniform CPA Examination.
Scholarship / Publications
:
Professor Englard has published approximately fifteen articles on a variety of financial accounting topics in professional accounting journals. He is also the author of two accounting textbooks: Intermediate Accounting I and Intermediate Accounting II, both in the Schaum’s Outline Series of McGraw Hill.
Since January 2009, these books have consistently placed in the top 2.5% and top 5%, respectively, on the Amazon sales ranking list.
