Biography / Academic Interests
:
Wilma L. Jones has been Chief Librarian at the College of Staten Island since 2002 and a member of the faculty since 1992. In addition to her role as Chairperson of the Department of the Library, Dr. Jones manages day-to-day operations including the maintenance and development of services and facilities, as well as research and instructional resources. Dr. Jones continually strives to develop the holdings of the Library in support of the educational mission of the College of Staten Island and the research needs of its students, faculty, and staff. Dr. Jones' research interests include library administration and the impact of integrating new and emerging advanced technologies in the academic environment, African women writers, and the African community in New York City.
