Biography / Academic Interests :
Deepa Aravind has taught at Rutgers University, New Jersey and The College of New Jersey (TCNJ).††She has also worked in the software industry in India and the US.
At the College of Staten Island, she teaches Management courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to serving on several committees at CSI, she also serves as the Advisor and Secretary-Treasurer for Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society, since 2012. She is also currently the Program Coordinator for MS (Management).

Professor Aravind is the recipient of several research awards, including the PSC-CUNY Research Award, Deanís Scholarship Award, and the Joseph L. Fisher Dissertation Fellowship, Resources for the Future, Washington, D.C.


Scholarship / Publications :
Professor Aravindís research interests are in the areas of organizational innovation as well as corporate social responsibility initiatives including environmental management system standards and the United Nations Global Compact. She has published in several journals including the Journal of Business Ethics, Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Corporate Citizenship, Management and Organization Review, European Management Journal, and Journal of Engineering and Technology Management (JET-M). She has also co-authored several book chapters and has presented her research at several major academic conferences.
