Biography / Academic Interests
:
Professor Yagihashi’s fields of interest are macroeconomics, monetary economics, econometrics and international macroeconomics. His doctoral dissertation investigates the monetary policy under model uncertainty. In his research, he uses different DSGE models to examine how the model choice affects the optimal conduct of monetary policy. Dr. Yagihashi is especially interested in the class of models known as the credit channel model and the state-dependent pricing model. He is also a strong proponent of the Bayesian DSGE estimation approach.
