Biography / Academic Interests

Soon Ae Chun is an assistant professor of Information Systems in Business Department at City University of New York’s College of Staten Island.
Professor Chun’s area of expertise is workflow management and information security. Her research has been sponsored by NSF, NOAA and New Jersey State agency to investigate policy-based multi-organizational service integration and personalization. She also contributed in the field of geospatial data security and privacy, and conflict-of-interest issues in decentralized workflow execution. Her current research interests are context-aware security and privacy policy integration, data quality, trust and visualization issues in digital government, Homeland Security, and mobile commerce domains.
Scholarships / Publications

Professor Chun has published in security and database journals, conference proceedings and books, such as Journal of Computer Security, IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, Journal of Distributed and Parallel Databases.
Dr. Chun is an editorial board member for a Wirelsee Network Security Journal, and has served as a demo/poster chair, a publicity chair, a local chair, a Web chair for major database, security and IS conferences, such as SIGMOD, WISE, IFIP WG11.3, AMCIS, and served as a PC member for many conferences. She is a member of the IEEE, ACM, AIS, and the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
