Biography / Academic Interests

Wayne Grossman is Associate Professor of Business at the College of Staten Island. Dr. Grossman graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton and received a Ph.D. in business administration with a major in management from Texas A&M University. He is also a certified public accountant, and prior to his academic career was a senior manager with a major international accounting and consulting firm. His primary research and teaching specialty is in the field of management, and his research has focused on the relationship between corporate governance and strategic decision-making in complex organizations.

Professor Grossman’s research has been published in leading management journals including the Employee Responsibilities and Rights Journal, the Journal of Managerial Issues, the Journal of Management, the Academy of Management Journal, the Academy of Management Executive (now “Perspectives”), and the Human Resource Management Review.
