Biography / Academic Interests
:
Dr. Mercer joined the History Department in the Fall of 2009 and teaches modern European History, particularly in the 20th century. His research focuses on the student movements of the 1960s in France, Germany and Italy. Professor Mercer is currently working on the origins and nature of political violence in the 1970s in Western Europe.
