Biography / Academic Interests
:
Professor Chiacchiero has been an adjunct professor since 1999 and has taught Physical Therapy classes including Modalities, Prosthetics and Orthotics and Wound Healing. His interests include rehabilitation of the Neurologically Impaired patient, and Vestibular Rehabilitation. His clinical experience is well varied, including Acute Care, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Sub-Acute, Nursing Home, Home Care, and Outpatient Rehabilitation. He became Supervisor of the Day Rehabilitation and Pain Management Programs while at the Johnson Rehabilitation Institute and was Director of Rehabilitation at New Vanderbilt Rehabilitation and Care Center for Select Medical. His research interests include Muscle Activation Patterns during therapeutic exercise and Gait Patterns of amputees.
