Biography / Academic Interests :
Before joining CSI in 2013, Dr. Li Ge was a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University.  He received his PhD in Physics from Yale University in 2010, and his thesis focused on laser physics in complex and disordered media, including wave-chaotic lasers and random lasers. He was the co-discoverer of Coherent Perfect Absorbers, which was featured in media such as BBC News, New York Times, Scientific American, Nature, and Nature Photonics.

Dr. Li Ge's current research interests include strong interaction and new phenomena in open nonlinear systems such as lasers, cavity quantum electrodynamics, nonequilibrium condensate, and optomechanics.
