Biography / Academic Interests :
Professor John Olsen obtained his Ph. D. under the mentorship of Professor Louis Burnelle in 1970 at New York University. He has been with CUNY-CSI since 1967. He has participated in a number of summer institutes at Oak Ridge Associated Universities in the 70's. His research interests are theoretical organic chemistry and the study of the reactive intermediates. Professor Olsen is also interested in chemical education-in particular applying computers to introductory lab experiments.
