On Campus Jobs
Federal Work-Study Program
The Federal Work-Study Program offers students the opportunity
to earn money that can be used to help meet their educational
expenses. Jobs are available both on-campus and off-campus, and
the current pay rate is $7.00/hour for undergraduate and $9.00/hour
for graduate students. Effective June 5, 2006 the wages will
increase to $8.00/hour for undergraduate and $10.00/hour for
graduate students.
To be eligible, students must file the Free Application
for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and answer “Yes”
to the question, “In addition to grants, are you interested
in ‘work-study’
(which you earn through work)?” In addition, students must
be matriculated in a degree-granting program and be enrolled
for at least six equated credits for the fall or spring semester.
Packaging for Federal Work-Study funds happens centrally, and
preference is given to students who file the FAFSA in a timely
fashion.
