held in the Center for the Arts for one year; a lapel pin and
their name engraved on a yearly plaque which will be displayed
in the 1A Building Atrium, and beginning July 2008 we are now
including the following “new awards”, a 3-month
gym membership to the Sports & Recreation Center; lunch for
2 at the Park Café; and a CSI mug with pen & key
chain light. The employee and up to six guests will be invited
to an awards brunch/luncheon where the President will present
them with a framed certificate, their mug, lapel pin, and a photograph
of the ceremony to be taken by the College photographer (presented
at a later date to the employee).
The Employee Recognition Awards Program is designed to acknowledge
every month those members of the College Community whose superior
performance contributes to or enhances the mission of the College
and helps to create a more positive environment. Employees are
invited to nominate non-teaching staff employees who have provided
24 months of service on campus and who are paid on tax levy and
non-tax levy payrolls. Such non-tax levy payrolls include CSI Research
Foundation, CSI Association, and CSI Auxiliary Services. Staff
paid on other payrolls, such as part-time security guards, would
be eligible if they have provided a minimum of 24 months of continuous
service on campus.
Candidates for a recognition award can be nominated by any employee by filling
out a
nomination
form (in pdf, uses
Adobe
Acrobat), with all required signatures, and submitting it to the Director
of Human Resources who will bring it before the Employee Recognition Committee.
This committee will consist of 9 members, comprised of both administration and
staff, appointed by the President and headed by the Director of Human Resources.
Once nominated, candidates will stay in the pool for one (1) year. If not selected,
they would have to be re-nominated for consideration.
