Admissions Criteria

  • We seek students with demonstrated talent in science and mathematics as well as a sincere desire to teach. Students may demonstrate these characteristics in a number of ways - through their academic record, through performance on SATs, through the rigor of their high school curriculum (Advanced Placement courses, honors courses), through independent research, through complementary coursework (in College Now or university summer programs), or through other outside activities (tutoring or mentoring). The minimum requirement is an 85 College Admissions Average, strong SAT scores, and a college preparatory program in science and mathematics.
  • Students seeking to teach mathematics should be prepared to enter calculus in their first year.
