Public Safety
All students and members of the faculty and staff are required to have a valid, updated college identification card on their person while on campus. Upon request of a campus peace officer or other college official the identification card must be presented. All visitors and guests must display other identification upon request. ID cards are required to pick up financial aid checks, gain access to the library, borrow books and to ride the campus shuttle or ferry bus.
Staff and faculty will need an ID cards in order to gain access to staff and faculty parking areas and to buildings during off hours or when keys are issued.
To receive your ID card students must bring a validated Bursars bill.
Faculty and staff must bring a letter from the Office of Human Resources or provide some other source of information verifying employment, to the Public Safety Office located in 2A-108 or the Public Safety Satellite Office located in the Library.
All ID cards must be validated every semester.
A lost or stolen ID card must be reported to the Office of Public Safety. There is a $10.00 charge for a replacement ID card.
There is no charge for your first College of Staten Island ID card. ID cards can be obtained either at the Public Safety Office located in 2A-108 or the Public Safety Satellite Office located in the Library.
ID Cards can be obtained during the following hours when the college is open.

During the first two weeks of both the fall and spring semesters, the hours for obtaining an ID Card will be extended in order to accommodate new students and staff.
