GHI, an EmblemHealth company, offers students discounted health insurance each semester. Join GHI during one of the two enrollment periods held twice each year in the spring and fall.  Applications are available at the Health Center and at www.GHI.com/CUNY.

New York State provides comprehensive health insurance at NO COST for income-eligible uninsured adults. In order to be eligible for Healthy New York plans students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be 19 years of age or older
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Make less than $900/month
  • Reside in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, or Queens

Health Insurance facilitators are available most days in the Campus Center near the Health Center 1C, 112.
