Virus Protection
CUNY provides all students, faculty, and staff **FREE** McAfee Antivirus protection for their home computers and laptops. To take advantage of this offer, you will need to visit the CUNY E-Mall software center available through the CUNY Portal.

Virtual Private Network
To ensure the integrity and privacy of personal information, CSI uses a Virtual Private Network (VPN) for its intranet and its access to CUNY Systems. This encrypts all data and uses the best available technology to guarantee security and privacy.

The College uses spam detection appliances from Barracuda to quarantine unsolicited emails.  A Spam Quarantine Summary  will be emailed to users providing them with the ability to deliver, whitelist, delete, or view suspect emails.

What is identity theft?
Identity theft is a crime in which an imposter obtains such key pieces of information as a Social Security number, driver's license number, or credit card number to obtain merchandise and services, credit, and loans in the name of the victim.
