Who is eligible?
 
We look for students who demonstrate strong academic abilities.  We also consider personal characteristics such as leadership, community service, creativity, talent, and enthusiasm that will contribute to The Verrazano School community. 

When can I apply?

The priority deadline each year for the fall semester is February 15th.  Applications received or postmarked by that date will be reviewed first, and other applications will be reviewed on a space-available basis.
 

If I am an incoming freshman, how do I apply to The Verrazano School?

1. Apply for admission to CUNY online at www.cuny.edu/apply.  We encourage you to indicate the College of Staten Island as your first choice on the CUNY application.

2. Submit a completed Verrazano Supplemental Application and two typed letters of reference accompanied by the recommendation forms to The Verrazano School Office.  Typed applications are preferred, and for your convenience this PDF can be edited.
