The Verrazano School
Verrazano professional development workshops and activities help students become better prepared to apply for internships, scholarships, fellowships, job opportunities, and graduate school.
Verrazano Professional Development Requirements
- attend a Professional Communication Workshop in the fall of your first semester (you will be emailed about what Professional Communication Workshop you must attend)
- attend two career-related events that help you understand the relationship between your major and your career path
- develop a professional résumé and have it approved by a Career Coach in the Center for Career and Professional Development
- meet with a Career Coach for an Introduction to Career Planning (this can be at the same time you talk to the career coach.
There are some events presented by other units on- or off-campus groups. If you attend one of these such events, you will need to print the Event attendance verification form and have the leader of the event sign it to verify your attendance.
Failure to fulfill professional development requirements will result in dismissal from the Verrazano Program.
