CSI Welcomes all Veterans of the US Armed Forces.

We are proud to have you here and we thank you for your service!
CSI is dedicated to providing the support needed to help our servicemen and women adjust to college life. The Veterans Support Services was established in order to better assist and respond to those needs and our website is designed to inform Veterans, and eligible family members, about the benefits and resources available to them on and off campus. We have devised a network approach to better facilitate the needs of each student veteran from the Admissions process all the way through to graduation.
The Veterans Support Services was established in order to better assist and respond to the needs of students who have served in the Armed Forces. These services are available to all student veterans and their family members. Our mission is to facilitate a smooth transition from military life to the college experience by providing veterans a strong support system and centralized "vet-friendly" services. We thank you for your service and would like to make your college experience a memorable one.
Veterans Support Services staff is here to help.  The staff consists of the Coordinator for Veterans Support Services, a Veteran Support Specialist, and Student Veteran mentors.  We work closely with the Vito Zajda, Deputy Registrar and Certifying Official, Veteran Educational Transition Services (VETS) and the Armed Forces Club to ensure that student veterans are receiving earned benefits.
The Veterans Support Services works closely with many other campus departments providing:

CSI's Veterans Support Services collaborates with veteran organizations within the community in order to identify additional resources and foster a sense of community between CSI student veterans and the veteran population of Staten Island. This relationship ensures that the Veterans Support Services stays up to date on all new legislation and initiatives that will affect our student veteran population. We want you to know that you have a strong system of advocacy available to you on and off campus.

Veterans Support Services is located in the Campus Center (Building 1C) Room 219.  Student veterans can also use the office as a hub to network and connect with each other.  Veterans Support Services has computers, printers, phone, fax and a library of educational and reference materials available to all CSI student veterans.  Please stop by and introduce yourself.  Your suggestions and comments are always welcome.  This is also a great way of connecting with your fellow veterans here on campus.

We look forward to meeting more of the 240 plus student veterans on campus and improving your college experience here at CSI!
