CSI Student Veteran Center
Student Veteran Center Location: Campus Center, 1C-219 Welcome to CSI! The Student Vet Center was recently established in order to better assist and respond to the needs of students who have served in the Armed Forces. Vet Center services are available to all student veterans, veteran dependents, as well as their family members. The purpose of this program is to facilitate a smooth transition from military life to the college experience by providing veterans a strong support system and centralized "vet-friendly" services. The Student Vet Center is a new initiative developed to better serve our growing veteran student population at CSI. We thank you for serving our country and would like to make your college experience a memorable one. The Vet Center consists of the Veterans Coordinator and student vet mentors. The Veterans Coordinator is a professional counselor who provides confidential, personal and academic support services for student veterans sensitive to veterans’ issues. The Veterans Coordinator works closely with the Certifying Official, Vito Zajda and the Armed Forces Club to ensure that student veterans are receiving earned benefits and are informed about veterans’ issues. We want you to know that you have a strong system of advocacy available to you on campus. Student veterans can also use the Center as a hub to network and connect with each other. The Vet Center has computers, printers, phone, fax and a library of educational and reference materials available to all CSI student veterans. Please stop by and introduce yourself. Your suggestions and comments are always welcome. This is also a great way of connecting with your fellow veterans here on campus. We look forward to meeting with more of the 135 student veterans on campus and improving your college experience here at CSI! |
