Although the priority deadline has passed, the Office of Recruitment and Admissions will continue to accept complete applications on a space available basis.  

What You Will Need to Apply

  1. Submit the City University of New York (CUNY) Direct Admission Application
     
    • Please note, this application should only be used if you are seeking admission for Fall 2018 and you have not already applied to any CUNY school.  Please contact us if you have already applied to CUNY for Fall 2018.
    • Submission of this application does not guarantee admission.  Aside from completion of the application (supporting documents) there are eligibility and enrollment requirements (ex., CUNY Assessment Tests). In the event you are unable to enroll for Fall 2018 we will continue to work with you for Spring 2019 admission.

  2. Submit the following documents directly to the Office of Recruitment and Admissions:

Freshman Applicants

You are considered a freshman applicant if you have not previously attended any college, university, and/or proprietary school within or outside the United States since graduating from high school or secondary school.

  • Official high school transcript indicating proof of graduation in a sealed, school-issued envelope or high school equivalency test scores and diploma
  • SAT or ACT scores (required for entrance to baccalaureate programs)
  • $65.00 application fee, preferably by using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or e-check when you apply on-line.   It can also be paid via check or money order payable to College of Staten Island

Transfer Applicants

You are considered a transfer applicant if you have attended any college, university, and/or proprietary school since graduating from high school. This applies whether or not you are seeking transfer credit and/or changing a program of study.

  • Official high school transcript indicating proof of graduation in a sealed, school-issued envelope or high school equivalency test scores and diploma
  • Official transcript from each college, university, and/or proprietary school that you have attended submitted in a sealed, school issued envelope
  • $70.00 application fee, preferably by using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or e-check when you apply on-line.   It can also be paid via check or money order payable to College of Staten Island

Generally, transfer students at the time of application must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.  Please visit our Transfer Student Requirements page for more information.

Admission Review Process

Evaluation for admission is based on an individual review of a student’s academic credentials and is subject to eligibility.  If applicable, we will consider high school average, cumulative college grade point average (GPA) and program availability.
