Educated at Reed College, Keele University (U.K.), Cornell and Indiana Universities, William "Bill" Bernhardt has taught a broad range of courses including writing on all levels from remedial to post-graduate, English as a Second Language, Reading, and Literature. He has also been a teacher-trainer in many of these academic areas in China, Brazil, France, U.K. and Vietnam. He has been active in the application of computers to the teaching of writing both in traditional courses and as an online instructor and faculty trainer.  Current academic interests include Composition and Basic Writing, Teaching Online, Teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) using the Silent Way.
