- PEPNet iTransition Preparatory Curriculum for New Students
iTransition is a free, online transition curriculum to help students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing prepare for life after high school. There are four separate trainings with activities to help students learn about themselves, their career goals, and the skills they need to be successful in the future.
- PEPNet – Post Secondary Education Programs Network
PEPNet provides resources and expertise that enhance educational opportunities for people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing--including those with co-occurring disabilities. PEPNet's national outreach is coordinated through its four regional centers. At the local level, each state's contact person is the gateway to the shared knowledge and best practices of the four regions. PEPNet regional centers work collaboratively to provide a broad variety of best practices & resources where and when you need them to enhance educational opportunities.
- RID - Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf
RID is a national membership organization representing the professionals who facilitate communication between people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and people who hear. Interpreters serve as professional communicators in a vast array of settings such as churches, schools, courtrooms, hospitals and theaters, as well as on political grandstands and television.
RID: Adding Value to the Profession and for the Consumer through education, standards, relationships, and resources.
- NYC Metro RID – New York City Metro Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf
The New York City Metro Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. was established in 1979. It is an affiliate chapter of the national RID organization. The purpose of NYC Metro RID is to initiate, sponsor, promote and execute practices that will further the profession of interpretation of American Sign Language/English and transliteration of English.
