  • RID - Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf
    RID is a national membership organization representing the professionals who facilitate communication between people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and people who hear. Interpreters serve as professional communicators in a vast array of settings such as churches, schools, courtrooms, hospitals and theaters, as well as on political grandstands and television.
    RID: Adding Value to the Profession and for the Consumer through education, standards, relationships, and resources.
  • NYC Metro RID – New York City Metro Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf
    The New York City Metro Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. was established in 1979.  It is an affiliate chapter of the national RID organization.  The purpose of NYC Metro RID is to initiate, sponsor, promote and execute practices that will further the profession of interpretation of American Sign Language/English and transliteration of English.
