A Conversation with LGBTQ+ People of Color

Join us for a conversation with LGBTQ+ People of Color about forming their identity within the LGBTQ+ community. This conversation is brought to you by the Wagner College Center for Intercultural Advancement, the College of Staten Island LGBTQ Resource Center, and Pride Center of Staten Island.

Being LGBTQ+ can already come with its struggles, but being a person of color can add further complexities. This panel discussion will focus on the experiences of LGBTQ+ people of color, their coming out process, acceptance in the LGBTQ+ community, and how they operate in the world. The goal of this panel discussion is to create a safe space through which we can explore topics of identity and bring together LGBTQ+ POC and their allies on our campuses.
