SEEK students receive many valuable benefits that enhance their educational experience.
SEEK is a fulltime program that provides you with the tools to earn an associates and bachelor’s degree from CSI. Your SEEK commitment is a relationship with you and the SEEK program to fulfill your SEEK obligations. In return for your commitment, SEEK will provide the following support:
Academic and Counseling Support
Counselors welcome new students into the SEEK family, and offer a helping hand from commitment to commencement. They provide guidance with:
- College life and CSI opportunities
- Course planning and choosing majors
- Academic progress and priority registration
- Financial and other personal challenges
- Career development and goals
- Scholarships and internships
- Leadership, volunteer and study abroad opportunities
- Post-graduate planning and much more
SEEK Learning Center Support
The SEEK Learning Center (SLC) is an academic support facility designed to help students maximize their academic potential. The SLC offers:
- Individual tutoring (walk-in or by appointment)
- Academic review sessions
- Skill-building workshops
- Online tutoring
- An online Virtual Learning Center
- A computer lab staffed by trained lab technicians
- Help with assignments
- A quiet place to study
Financial Support
SEEK students have:
- Two additional semesters of eligibility for New York State’s Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), which covers up to the full cost of tuition
- Stipends paid to students each semester
- Awards to cover student fees
- Additional financial aid for summer classes
- Assistance with the financial aid application process
- Funding for graduate school at participating SUNY colleges
