Commitment Deposit Information

The College of Staten Island (CSI) requires newly admitted graduate students to pay a non-refundable $250 deposit towards tuition and fee charges when they accept the offer of admission.

By submitting your commitment deposit you secure your enrollment to CSI.  This deposit is not an extra fee, it will be applied toward your tuition charges and will allow you to register.  You are strongly encouraged to send in your deposit as soon as possible.

Commitment deposit deadline for Fall semester:  May 1
If you are admitted after May 1, your commitment deposit is due 30 days after you receive your official letter of admission by email.

Commitment deposit deadline for Spring semester:  December 15
If you are admitted after December 1, your commitment deposit is due 15 days after you receive your official letter of admission by email.

Please inform us of your intentions for the upcoming semester by submitting the Admissions Response Form available on your VIP Page. Your VIP page is a personalized information portal. Please click here to log in now.

Step Two:

If you are accepting our offer of admission, payment for the commitment deposit can be paid in person or mailed to:

The $250 commitment deposit can be satisfied by a check or money order made payable to the “College of Staten Island”.

*You may be eligible to have your commitment deposit waived if you applied for financial aid using the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) and your Student Aid Report (SARS) has an estimated family contribution (EFC) of $3000 or less. We strongly encourage you to apply by the March 31st priority deadline. Please email us at to request an exemption from the required $250 commitment deposit based on your estimated family contribution (EFC).
