International STEM Internship

The National Science Foundation provides funding for CSI Noyce Scholars to participate in international teaching internships.  The purpose of this CSI program is to provide professional experiences that foster constructive and reflective dialogue between educators from different countries about pedagogical practices in STEM disciplines.  Since 2010, CSI Noyce Scholars have visited Ecuador (the Galapagos Islands), Russia (St. Petersburg, Samara, Moscow, and Vladimir), and Morocco (Marrakesh).  In each country they observed STEM classrooms, met with teachers and students, taught lessons, participated in panel discussions, learned new and innovative ways to teach STEM disciplines, and gained a deeper appreciation of the culture and diversity in their own classrooms.
