Cost to Participate in STEP:

Participation in the STEP program is absolutely free!  The only cost is student commitment and parental involvement. 

Who is Eligible?

The STEP Program is designed for students who are historically underrepresented and economically disadvantage.  Students must have permission from a parent or guardian to participate in the STEP Program and, have an overall average of 80% or higher, as well as an 80% average in science and mathematics. Students must also complete a 150-word essay, take a math and science aptitude exam, have a personal interview, and have self-discipline when interacting on a college campus.
