The Philadelphia 11 and the Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Ordination of Women as Priests in the Episcopal Church

This half-day Conference at the Church of the Ascension (1 Kingsley Avenue, Staten Island) is open to all faiths to mark the 50th anniversary of the ordination of women priests in the Episcopal Church. This marks an incredibly important moment in U.S. religious life and an important historic threshold for American women.

There will be a panel discussion on feminist theology with author Dr Julie Faith Parker, PhD, of the Union Theology Seminary (author of Eve Isn’t Evil).

The event is free with pre-registration; Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

There will also be a screening of new documentary, The Philadelphia 11.
