1. If you are a current Teacher Education Honors Academy (TEHA) Student at CSI, then you must complete and submit a Noyce Scholarship Application for TEHA students.
  2. If you are a current CSI Student but not in the Teacher Education Honors Academy (TEHA) at CSI, then you must:
    • Complete and submit a Noyce Scholarship Application for a current CSI student who is not in the Teacher Education Honors Academy at CSI
    • Including 2 essays, “Why did you choose your major?” and “Why are you interested in teaching in a high need school?”.
    • Submit 2 letters of recommendation from faculty members with at least one from a faculty member in your major.
    • Final acceptance is contingent upon the successful completion of your current academic semester program with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  3. If you are not a current CSI student but plan to transfer to CSI from another college, including other CUNY schools, then you must Apply to CUNY and list CSI as your first choice and Complete and submit a Noyce Scholarship Application for Transfer Students to College of Staten Island that includes:
    • Personal Information, Academic Information, Application Certification and Release of Information and 2 essays, “Why did you choose your major?” and “Why are you interested in teaching in a high need school”.
    • Submit 2 letters of recommendation from faculty members with at least one from a faculty member in your major.
    • Submit an official transcript that includes all college credits completed.  Important:  To be eligible for consideration for a Noyce Scholarship you must have already completed at least 60 college credits and you need to complete a major in mathematics, biology, or chemistry and all the education requirements for initial certification within a maximum of 3 years at the College of Staten Island.
    • Final acceptance is contingent upon the successful completion of your current academic semester program with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
