Brett Grant received his B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations from UCLA, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Brett completed postdoctoral research at Teachers College, Columbia University, where he worked with the Black Education Research Collective (BERC) to implement a PK-12 Black Studies Curriculum for New York City Public Schools; and Cornell University, where he worked with the Nutrition Liberation, Food Sovereignty and Justice Lab to study structural inequality in the U.S. food and nutrition system.
Currently, Brett lives on a farm in upstate New York, and is interested in community-based research that examines the impacts of project-based learning on health, nutrition, and academic achievement.
