Professor Recor earned her AAS in Business and BS in Accounting at the College of Staten Island.  She built her career in public and private accounting and worked in general accounting, auditing, and taxation.  At the same time, she earned her CPA license and went on to complete an MS in Taxation at Baruch College.  She also taught at the College of Staten Island as an adjunct for number of years before joining the faculty full time.

At the College of Staten Island, Professor Recor has taught a wide range of accounting and taxation courses.  She has also served on many committees, including: General Education, Course and Standing, Grade Appeal, Faculty Scholarship, and Commencement.  She also serves as a Graduation Marshal and Co-Coordinator for the Business Department Commencement program.

Scholarship / Publications

Professor Recor’s research interest is in the area of taxation.  She has published in a number of accounting journals such as: The Journal of Accountancy, The CPA Journal, The Tax Adviser, The TaxPro Journal.  She has also presented her work at professional and academic conferences.
