Yena Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Media Culture at the College of Staten Island, CUNY. Her research examines the shifting dynamics of political participation across mediated forms, spanning networked social movements, fan activism, and political content creation. Her current book project, Politics as Content: Political Content Creators and the Making of Post-networked Influence, asks what happens to political participation when politics must become content, positioning political content creators at the nexus of institutional politics, grassroots movements, and the creator economy.
