For the second time in less than a month, the College of Staten Island has been recognized for the value it provides its students. Washington Monthly has listed CSI in the top 25 percent of its Best-Bang-for-the-Buck Colleges 2025 list for the Northeast. The College is ranked number 60 out of 250.

College of Staten Island President Dr. Timothy G. Lynch will be honored at the 13th Annual Non-Profit Staten Island “Rooted and Rising” Conference on October 30 at the Hilton Garden Inn.

For the third year in a row, the College of Staten Island has been recognized by Forbes for the value that it brings its students. CSI is one of four CUNY schools that have been named to the magazine’s 25 Colleges with the Highest PayOff list. The designation recognizes, according to Forbes, “a list of the 25 schools that offer students the best returns on their investment—high earnings potential for a relatively low price.”

The College of Staten Island proudly welcomed a new wave of international students for the upcoming semester, representing countries from every corner of the globe.

Five recent graduates from the College of Staten Island have begun their legal education this fall at some of the nation’s most respected law schools, carrying with them not only prestigious scholarships but also the skills, confidence, and determination honed during their undergraduate journeys at CSI.

Jenalyse Alarcon, who recently completed an exceptional four-year career on the CSI Women’s Basketball team, was recognized by the East Coast Conference as one of two ECC nominees for the 2025 National Collegiate Athletic Association Woman of the Year Award. 

The College of Staten Island is proud to welcome three outstanding local students into its incoming class—young women who were recently honored by the Alpha Beta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, a national organization that supports women in education.
