Fall 2021
Thank you for your interest in the Medical Laboratory Science Program (MLS) at the College of Staten Island. The Medical Laboratory Science Program has been in existence for nearly four decades and is registered with the New York State Education Department as a CLS licensure qualifying program. The Program is proud to be accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS) since 2012. NAACLS is committed to being the premier agency for accreditation and approval of education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences and related health care professions. Program accreditation by NAACLS allows our students eligibility to sit for the American Society for Clinical Pathology-Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) examination.
Submitted as part of the 2021 NAACLS Annual Survey, three MLS Program Outcomes were determined:
- Graduation Rate
- Job Placement Rate
- Certification Exam Pass Rate
The tables for these outcomes are found below for time the period July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020.
